The NOD-1 Horseman is a 2-in-1 overdrive effect inspired by the design of the Centaur Gold and Silver guitar effects from the mid-90s. It offers two sound modes (Gold and Silver), which differ in gain structure (in the Silver mode you get closer to the sonic waters of distortion pedals). Depending on the setup, the box will serve well as a clean boost interacting with an already distorted sound of the machine, a flexible overdrive to a clean sound of the machine and as a subtle sonic spice to a distorted sound.

As with the Centaur originals, the character of the sound can be adjusted using the three controls (Treble, Gain, Output). The pedal has the advantage of switching between true bypass and buffered bypass circuitry, where, especially when used with other effects, you'll welcome the buffered bypass option to compensate for a possible drop in signal quality. The effect is powered by a 9V adapter.
