The NFB-2 Lacerate is a compact pedal booster from NUX's Mini Core Series. It offers two modes - Clean Boost, i.e. purely boosting the signal without affecting the character of the tone, and Crank Boost, where you kick the signal up by a respectable 35 dB while also getting a nice overdrive. An integrated voltage-doubler changes the voltage in the box from 9V to 18V, making the sound beautifully dynamic with decent headroom.

The advantage of the pedal is switching between true bypass and buffered bypass circuitry, where in connection with other effects you will welcome the buffered bypass option to compensate for the possible drop in signal quality. All electronics are housed in an aluminium chassis. The power supply is provided by a 9V adapter
